Prospective Members
A Member or Associate Member of the International Psychoanalytical Association, being such either directly or through his or her Membership or Associate Membership of one of the Component Societies of the International Psychoanalytical Association, may, upon taking up residence in Australia, be granted Visitor status of the Association.
After a period of not less than twelve months as a Visitor he or she may be nominated by the Executive Committee for election as an Associate Member of the APAS and the Association in accordance with:
Rule 5.2(a), or, if he or she has been an Associate Member or Member of a Component Society of the IPA for at least three years, upon application to the Secretary of the APAS he or she may be considered for election as a Member if approved by an ad hoc committee appointed by the Executive Committee of the APAS in accordance with Rule 5.2(b) hereof.
